Reggie Nadelson's Artie Cohen book, "Fresh Kills."

Third and last in a series. I try not to read series until the final volume is complete.

'Fresh Kills' is a dark journey to knowledge for Artie Cohen. Reluctantly, he investigates a murder at the same time as he is dealing with his disfunctional family and 'friends'. He is concerned about his nephew Billy both because of Billy's unique character and because of Billy's mother and her seemingly odd way of dealing with Billy and the experiences Billy was subjected to in the past. Some threats come from Billy's past, some from Artie's past and some from within the two of them. ***
